The owners have introduced and maintained an excellent design aesthetic. Deb Richards, chef and restaurateur, known for co-founding the famed and unprecedented Presidio Grill, featured on the cover of Bon Appetite and recipient of many awards, held many dinner parties and events in the great room, using the commercial kitchen. John Richards noted metal artist and architectural designer actually did some of the rock work and the masonry for the raised bed gardens. Both maintained the original yellow fir flooring that came in on one of the first trains to Tucson.
The grounds are lush but with arid vegetation. The xeriscaped yard affords shade and ease of maintenance. The gazebo by designer John Bissell is both an open air or cozy and enclosed. Several couple have had weddings there.
Off street parking is enclosed and gated, and there is plenty of on street parking throughout the week, day and night.
